In Memory

Cheryl Tibbits (Hudson)

Cheryl Grace Hudson, 59, was called to heaven on Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Laurel, surrounded by her family.

Cheryl was born in Sidney to Clinton and Gladys (Thorpe) Tibbits, February 26, 1952. Following graduation from high school, she attended and graduated from Billings Business College. Cheryl married the love of her life, Gregory Allen Hudson, March 11, 1972, in Williston, N.D. Mrs. Hudson worked as a retail associate and a CNA at nursing homes, along with being a caregiver in Home Healthcare services. Her true passion was being a paraprofessional teacher working with special-needs children in Molt, Laurel, Custer, and finally retiring in June 2011 from White Sulphur Springs Schools.

She participated in the Lambert Jaycees, Locate-Knowlton Homemakers Club, 4-H, the Molt Church Homemakers Club and the Rapelje PTA. Cheryl enjoyed cooking holiday meals and creating crafts to share with friends, family and church bazaars. Most of all, she loved being a homemaker for her family, supporting them in all of their activities and taking "mini-vacations" whenever possible.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Greg; children Wade Clinton Hudson and Wendy Marie Hudson; and many dear friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Gregory Hudson, her mother and father, along with various aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Laurel.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 and Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at the Remington Letcher Memorial Chapel in Laurel.

The family extends a special thank-you to all friends, family and local organizations that have been a support to Cheryl. Memorial contributions may be made to the Molt Congregational Church or the charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be shared with Cheryl's family at www.remingtonletcherfuneralservices.com

Cheryl was my sister-in-law, friend as well as a classmate. She left this world to soon. She left a husband and two great children to carry on her memory. She was a great person who passed on too soon. She is missed daily by all that knew her.

I remember Cheryl from way back in grade school at Webster. I ran into her in Williston a few years ago and she mentioned her health problems then. Sorry to hear of her passing from this life. She was a good and kind person.
